How your support will work to make a difference:
Operational for over three years
Provide a safe place for children to go and learn whilst their parents look for work
Supply of educational materials
Build a larger and safer kitchen to prepare healthy meals for the children
Siza Child Care Centre has been operational for over three years and is located in Alexandria township which is one of the poorest urban areas in South Africa.
Its director, Sibongile established the centre to provide a safe place for children to go and learn whilst their parents look for work.
QCCT’s has assisted with making the centre safe and secure, supply of educational materials and donated Qantas blankets to keep the children warm during the cold winter months. Another project is to build a larger kitchen area which will be a safer environment to prepare and cook healthy meals for the children.
Both centres support children from the very poorest part of the community so fees are extremely low, therefore making it hard to cover costs which QCCT assists with through the purchase of a few months supply of staple foods until our next visit.
