How your support will work to make a difference:
Offers pre-primary education and care to children from 3 months to 6 years
Create a colourful and safe environment for the children to be able to attend every day
CCT have been working with and supporting SIZA preschool for over 20 years. Now in its fourth downtown Johannesburg location (its original location was in the windowless basement of a church which became too dangerous!) An area of chronic unemployment, homelessness, HIV/AIDS and poverty, the pre-school offers pre-primary education and care to children from 3 months to 6 years. The children come from the homeless community as well as refugee, unemployed and low-income families.
During various trips QCCT have helped equip Siza to make it a colourful and safe environment for the children to be able to attend every day.
Our current project for the preschool is to help restore the kitchen area enabling the staff to cook healthy nutritious meals for the children as well as generate an income through producing baked goods to sell to the local community.
