QCCT is pleased to present the 2023 Annual General Report, providing an overview of our activities, achievements, financial performance, and goals for 2024.
Chairperson’s message
2023 was a challenging but rewarding year. QCCT was successful in securing Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, opening up opportunities for significant new funding. Volunteer numbers are growing, and new roles under our structure are creating more ways for people to contribute. We continue to face challenges in communications and member engagement, but our commitment to the children and communities we support remains strong.
Key achievements in 2023
- 10 planning trips: strengthened connections with partners and ensured safe, effective working trips.
 - 6 working trips: with participants from Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
 - South Africa: painted 46 boundary fence sections at Nkosi’s Haven, delivered books, toys, and clothing, and funded 30 bed sheet sets for the mother’s cottage.
 - Philippines: raised $2,000 through fundraising, celebrated 13 graduates from the Bernie Smith Education Program, and trialled new support for returning residents and college students.
 - India: assessed a new project in Bangalore with working trips to commence in 2024; continued support for Mumbai Anugrah despite access challenges.
 - Thailand: supported the Human Development Foundation’s Mercy Centre, focusing on financial stability and transition after Father Joe’s retirement.

Looking ahead to 2024
